HYMMEN-GROUP - More than a century continuously successful The success story of theHymmen Group began in 1892. Theodor Hymmen - the founder of the company, built modern machines and steel structures just with a few colleagues and workers - reinforced concrete forms for railway bridges to automobiles. The next development was a product line consisting of presses for veneers and shingles and glue spreading machines. In the nineteen fifties, Hymmen laid the foundations of the modern surface finishing lines for the furniture industry with the introduction of roller application and curtain coating machines. The next milestone followed in the seventies. The family owned company set new standards in surface treatment with the development of thermal laminators with continuous innovations. Hymmen grew to become a world´s leading supplier for presses, calendar laminators, liquid coating equipment and electronic control equipment. The development and introduction of the double band press "ISOPRESS" for cost saving production of decorative and industrial laminates assured the Hymmen Group the position of a world market leader since the eighties. The basis of this success was the application of the futuristic principle of the isobaric press by means of compressed air filled cushions, operating under dynamic machine conditions. About 150 Hymmen double band presses are presently in operation for diverse products around the globe. Today, Hymmen is a globally operating enterprise with subsidiaries and representative offices around the world. Also in the 21st century, TRADITION AND CONTINUITY will play a major role. Theodor Hymmen built up this enterprise under the maxim "Future belongs to rational production". The firm Hymmen has re-mailed true to this motto for the last 110 years. The great-grandchild of the founder, who is steering the course of the firm in the 4th generation, is convinced that "rational production is continuous production". |
